Interactive map for wireless infrastructure operator

Phoenix Tower International (PTI) owns and operates high-quality wireless infrastructure sites in Latin America, the Carribean, and the United States.

When their website was launched, PTI only owned around a few thousands of sites. Since then, they have grown tremendously, and the number of sites increased to 90'000+!

Being so successful negatively impacted the coverage map on their website. It became impossible to use with so many sites to display at once.

They needed help and reached out to me. I had to optimize the loading time of the map, making it blazingly fast and interactive. Instead of loading all sites at once, I have built an algorithm that clusters them. The map displays only those sites that the user is actively looking for.

This approach decreased the loading time more than ten times (1000%). The map works fast and reliably and is ready to handle many more sites that I am sure PTI is going to acquire soon!

Since the launch of the map, we have already made numerous UI improvements and enriched it with new exciting features!
